The Simpsons Pre-Sages WTC Explosive Collapse
I just saw this episode (Viva Ned Flanders from 1999) on videotape this morning-- the very beginning has the controlled demolition of a casino.

Demolitioner #1: Five, four, three, two ...
Bart: All right! Here comes the implosion!
Demolitioner #2: =Im=plosion? But I thought you said ...
-- Close enough, "Viva Ned Flanders"

The worker presses down the detonator, resulting in an immense cloud of dust that spreads out into the crowd. Don Rickles, apparently having been still in the building, flies through the air, yelling "Hockey Puck!". Homer chuckles and says, "Don Rickles zinged you, Marge!"

The Simpsons, part of the rapidly fleeing audience, run from the dust cloud and jump into the car. Homer starts it and backs up blindly, colliding with something.

Lisa: Dad, we hit Don Rickles!
Don: I'm okay. But the Puerto Rican guy's trying to steal your
hubcaps. Ha, ha, just kidding. I'm a nice guy
...
-- "Viva Ned Flanders"

Driving home with a generous coat of dust on the car, Homer runs the windshield wipers to try to brush it off, though it just comes right back on with every re-wipe.

The building explosion, cloud of dust and layer of dust on the car are all highly reminiscient of what happened in lower Manhattan on 9/11. Also, note, the building was EXPLODED in the Simpsons.

Sure, it's a cartoon. But it's still very eery.

1. Engineers must have helped with that episode...
...unlike the one on 911.

There was also a short pilot for a movie or TV show that was shot before 911. It used the remote control aspect of the plane to lockout the actual pilots, then flew it into a WTC tower... but somebody in the control room switched off the external control just at the lest second.

Did you see this? I have a copy of it somewhere, but am not sure where it's posted on the web. It's not even a cartoon.

Golly, the mechanics were "common knowledge" before 911. Why can't they (the sheeple) figure it out?

4. Yep-- and oddly both shows are on FOX
the right-wing news network.

7. "Nobody could have imagined..."
1. Don't republicans watch FOX?

2. Do they have a problem comprehending what they see?

15. I heard on NPR the other day that in 1972, yes 1972,
in an airline hijackings, the hijackers demanded $7 million or they would fly the plane into the nuclear facility at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in TN. "Nobody could have imagined..."

16. Will NPR ever report that before 9/11, NORAD practiced drills defending
against hijacked planes being rammed into landmark buildings?

The lack of imagination line was amazingly effective disinformation, wasn't it?

17. Yeah, who'd have thought...
After all, the National Security Advisor wouldn't be expected to know about documents such as this.
Hey, isn't that site locked on to the south tower, right where it was hit?

3. This development is not surprising
as I've come to the conclusion there is not much distance between "The Simpsons" science and CT'er science.

5. Do explosive collapses produce huge dust clouds or not?
That is hardly a challenging scientific question.

I posted the pic, here:

What would make wallboard and concrete "liquify" together, and be dispersed, together, all over Manhattan?

I think we can eliminate "pancaking."

8. Things that pancake collapsers never address:
1) the huge clouds of fine powder
2) the jettisoning out of large steel beams from the collapse
3) why the core offered so little resistance to the collapse

9. 4) Why both towers "fell" so fast.
5) Why the first "pancake" began at the 110th floor (WTC1)
6) Why gravity worked backwards on WTC2. The progression collapsed from the damage zone, upward.

11. What would make wallboard and concrete "liquify" together
jane, this wasn't structural concrete, was it?

My impression is that it was special lightweight concrete without
reinforcement, simply a finish surface and a vibration damper for a
structural steel floor.

Have you addressed the theory that the towers were demolished by the
authorities in a disaster-mode operation to prevent further loss of life
and destruction?

You said one of the buildings' tops rotated, and then rotated back, and
you felt this was accomplished explosively. What if they had allowed
the top to keep rotating? Would the top have simply fallen off and left
the rest of the tower standing?

19. concrete has different properties than chalk
So, why would they fail in exactly the same way?

If it was concrete used in the floors, it was strong enough to support the spikes of high-heel shoes -- and that's a lot of compressive stress as well as shear stress. Wallboard (chalk) doesn't have much strength.

Also, the concrete was horizontal and the wallboard was vertical. They are of different densities, different strengths, different orientations, and have entirely different loads on them. Why would they be pulverized the same way and mixed together into a uniform fluid (dust cloud) and be transported in a similar fashion?

12. there is not much distance between "The Simpsons" science & CT'er science
Maybe that's the point, LARED. Maybe these things were shown on FOX to
prepare the viewers, so that after the fact when people try to point out
what (maybe) really happened, the FOX viewers can say "yeah, yeah, I've
seen that on the Simpsons. I saw that on a third-rate TV movie. Elvis
and the Yeti controlled the planes from Area 51."

18. So, if I read your view correctly, The Simpson" cartoon is
possibly part of the 9/11 conspiracy?

Isn't that stretching it a bit for even the most hard core Ct'er?

13. Simpsons 'post-sages' the 1995 Landmark casino implosion
There have been several casino implosions in Las Vegas.
http://www.pcap.com/landmark.htm

There's a QT video of the demolition on this 2nd page:
http://www.pcap.com/landmrk2.htm

..."From this point on all pictures were taken barely 2 hours after the explosion. The air is still full of dust from the 150+ ft cloud the collapsing structure kicked up. You can taste it and everything you touch gives up a layer on your hands and clothes. It filled the entire valley for the rest of the day and part of the next until winds came and blew it off."...

14. I see. Kind of remember that now.
The difference being that they screw it up in the Simpsons and it isn't an implosion but rather an EXplosion.
