it probably took a long time to get their stories straight and clean up all the evidentiary loose ends.

commission helped them a fair amount.

I mean, do we have a satisfactory answer for why Bush just sat in that classroom, why he wasn't taken away to safety, what Rumsfeld was doing that morning, etc etc?
