Todd Beamer
I saw, on a thread in General Discussion http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=102x1775236 about the 9-11 protestors, some mention of Todd Beamer's never having existed... What is this all about? I thought I was pretty well read on most IHOP stuff, but this is new to me.

Also, any good links on the alleged hijackers later turning up elsewhere?

1. OTS, I find it AMAZING
to be labeled by odious RW superlatives like "conspiracy theorist", "kook" and "tinfoil-hatter" in that thread because I don't believe the official "story" as far as I can throw it up, and by people who you would think would be at least a LITTLE open minded. Simply a grouchy, curmudgeonly, bordering on Republican tone with some of those posters.

What's so entirely bad about questioning, especially the incredibly flimsy (and stacked with Cheney/Oil Republicans) 9/11 commission's account?

Have these people NEVER heard of "Operation Northwoods"?

Is it REALLY SUCH a stretch to believe they would have MIHOP'd all of this for financial and political gain??

We're not dealing with Kennedy-era conservatives here. These bastards are a FAR more ruthless, technological, well-funded and well-oiled breed of monster.

2. Agree on all fronts
but it's still good to butt up against opposition. I've seen a lot of kooky stuff on here and, with anything of this nature -- from Kennedy to UFOs -- there is a lot of disinfo, misinfo, and muddied waters.

I would really like to read what this poster said about Todd Beamer, however -- the "hero" of Flight 93 whose "Let's roll" became a semi slogan in the months or so thereafter. Wasn't his widow even at the 2003 State of the Union? A beautiful. blonde American.

Anyway... know anything about this? That there's no record of his ever had existing?

6. Yes, it's complete bullshit.

I've met Doug MacMillan, Todd Beamer's best friend and original CEO of the the Todd M. Beamer Foundation personally. He lived in Cranbury, N.J. and worked for Oracle Corp. (both have "verified" his existence).

In addition:

One of his boyhood friends had this to say:

His hometown named their new Post Office after him:

If you'd like a relatively complete (if rather amateurish) bio:

Googling for three minutes will work wonders with BS claims like this.....

3. Todd Beamer DID exist -
Edited on Tue Sep-13-05 01:34 PM by HughBeaumont
Too bad his heroics were cut short by our own fighter jets. I've also heard that there were two people on that flight with piloting experience that could have landed that plane.

5. No problem.
I don't buy EVERYthing, but I at least look it up before shopping.

Because of the immense tragedy of 9/11 and the fact that we still know so little about it, it would be wrong and unjust to the victims families NOT to question the official accounts and NOT want a full, independent investigation.

8. To believe
that fighter jets shot down Flight 93. Just continues the official lie.

If a jet had been shot down, the evidence of such would have been presented.

As with the Pentagon lie.........none has!

11. UA93 wasn't shot down and the crash site was a fake.
There was no plane there.

I started a spin-off blog to deal with flight 93:

15. Magic Wings
I've seen the pic of the 'crash' site, as shown on your blog, dozens of times. Never ocurred before now that the wings of F 93 were sturdy enough to slice two large furrows into the solid ground but the wings of F77 left not a mark on the equally solid pentagon.

Sort of kicks a hole in the 'wings folded back along the fuselage on impact' theory.

7. Are they saying that none of the Flight 93 "Let's Roll" people existed?
They existed.

14. Just Google Todd Beamer.
You'll find no shortage of bio info on him. The fact is that Oracle Corp., Wheaton College, DePaul University, the people and city government of Cranbury New jersey, and the United States Postal Service all believe he existed.
