Is this a fighter over the WTC?

Fighter, or jumbo jet?

And also, by analyzing the amount of damage in the WTC and the whole series of pictures, can anyone figure out just when the pic was taken?

3. Probably a commercial jet.

Surprise, surprise, there are lots of jets in the area with three major airports within a 30 mile radius.

Besides, looking UP at a plane in the sky makes it tough to compare it with a photo looking DOWN at a fighter. Real photoenhancement software might help identify it, not just boosting the magnification.

5. wings/fuselage ratio: fighter

It's hard to estimate, but this blurred picture shows to me that the plane has a compact shape with big wings and short fuselage.

I think it's a fighter.

6. Most likely a commercial airliner

That view is basically facing a southern direction. I used to work right across the river from the WTC's just west of the towers about a mile inland on the Jersey side. The area where the 'thing' (I'm not even convinced it's a plane) is directly along the flight path at Newark airport.

So if it's a plane there is a high probability it is a commercial airliner. Newark is one of the busiest and largest airport on the east coast

7. I see

a lot of planes taking off from heathrow.

At a glance that looked to me to be a B767 flying towards the viewer and from the viewers right to the viewer's left.

At a second glance it is impossible to say what the hell it is.

11. I remember seeing another plane on 9/11on Fox

It appeared to be something like a KC135 (??).

It was on the Sept. 17, 2001 Matt Drudge website. This same shot (taken by GAMMA PRESS USA) was visible on a Foxnews Shephard special, You Are There (or something like that) that has disappeared from the Fox site.

(To those who object to ever going to Drudge, let me just say that I think he finds interesting things. I don't think he is a Republican player -- rather he allows others to play him. Fortunately so can our side as MOVEON and Symbolman have proven. Kudos to them.)
