One Skeptic Can Make a Difference - cashing in on 9/11
Edited on Fri Mar-10-06 10:34 AM by greyl

From today's Swift:

Hal Bidlack: "I’m so very pleased to be able to bring you Robert’s story. I confess to having a very personal reason for admiring his work. I happened to find myself inside the Pentagon on September 11th, 2001, and the things I saw, did, and heard that day continue to haunt me. Like other folks who have a close connection to the attacks, I find it deeply repellant for anyone to claim they were there that wasn’t, or worse, to try to profit from that terrible day through such false and despicable claims. Thus, I feel Robert is doing the world a great service, and me personally one as well.

A woman going by the name of "Dr. Kaz deMille-Jacobsen" had been a guest speaker at my mother's church, and the congregation had been very impressed with her "inspiring" life story.

Among other things, this woman claimed that:

* She is the illegitimate grandchild of film director Cecil B. deMille.
* She was married to famous pop star Fabian, and later to "Roberto Andretti of the famed car-racing family."
* Her production companies had won several Oscar and Grammy Awards.
* She founded world-wide charitable organizations.
* She had a net worth of over $100,000,000.
* She had been on presidential advisory committees under three American Presidents.

(Is your "baloney detector" going off yet? Hold on, it's about to get much louder and angrier.)

She also claimed that:

* She had been in an elevator in the North Tower of the World Trade Center when the terrorists attacked on September 11, 2001.
* Although horribly wounded, she courageously led others to safety, running out of the tower just as it collapsed.
(If your baloney detector hasn't shattered yet, it's about to.)
* While hospitalized from her 9/11 wounds, she was clinically dead for 28 minutes.
* While dead, she was taken to heaven, where she met Jesus and God Himself.
* When she came back to life, she had a rock in her hand, given to her by Jesus Himself.
* NASA tested the rock, said it was "not of the Earth nor the moon," and refused to give it back.
* President Bush sent for Kaz, and he and Mrs. Bush heard her wondrous story.
* They then knelt down in front of Kaz, and asked her forgiveness for having let 9/11 happen.

As you sweep the broken shards of your baloney detector off the floor, you may be asking yourself: people believed this?

The answer is: Yes. Lots of them.

2. "Yes lots of them"- Pretty much like the believers in the official 911 CT
Almost impossible to believe their BS detectors aren't exploding, but they dutifully swallow the pill their government hands them.

Where did you find this website? This Robert Lancaster, the debunker, sounds like a sicko, implying that some people in the WTC and Pentagon deserved what they got.

If Kaz was gaining money and admiration by lying about that, it was an insult to every man, woman and child who really had been in the Twin Towers and the Pentagon on September 11th, especially the innocent people who had died that day.

4. He's saying it was an insult to ALL the people who were
in the twin towers on 9-11 and went through a traumatic experience, but an even bigger insult to those who died.

6. I have trouble understanding this 'insult' thing, but I hear it often.
Some examples:

Anyone who questions the official 911 CT is insulting the people who died in the attacks.

Anyone who questions America's presence in Iraq insults the soldiers who have died and been injured there.

And now this one - anyone who profits from 911 through lies and deception insults the people who died there.

It seems to me that an insult must involve active intent. And I doubt the people who do these things intend to insult the deceased.

7. I love the screen name you've chosen,
though redherring would also work.

"Anyone who questions the official 911 CT is insulting the people who died in the attacks."

Who would say that? Rumsfeld, Dennis Miller et al?

"anyone who profits from 911 through lies and deception insults the people who died there."

Who would have a problem with that statement?

"It seems to me that an insult must involve active intent."

It can, but intent isn't a necessary condition. Check a few dictionaries.

"And I doubt the people who do these things intend to insult the deceased."

Well hell, let's all send those profiting from 911 through lies and deception a box of chocolates!
