I am now convinced it was incompetence, and a lot of it.

The story about the single hijacker's passport that flew unsinged out of the plane and planted itself on a NYC street a few blocks away? You'd flunk Propaganda 101 if this were all you could come up with.

Neglecting to plant actual airplane debris at the Pentagon, how's that for incompetence?

Engaging or otherwise implicating Atta, who had a record of snorting coke, bar crawling and living a generally carefree life of a drug mule - couldn't they really have found an honest, God-fearing Muslim in his stead?

Letting the towers collapse as they did, at free-fall speed - major giveaway. No physics teacher wanted to participate?

The trades in airline stocks. Either someone got too greedy, or someone leaked. More incompetence.

I'm sure there's more evidence of incompetence, please add to this thread if you will. But though it sounds like sarcasm, I'm quite serious. One argument raised often against MIHOP is that MIHOP postulates perfection from an administration that has repeatedly displayed incompetence. Nothing of the sort. 9-11 was not executed perfectly. It was just this side of sccessful. They barely made it.

The MIHOP gang would by necessity have been a very small group of people. They did not have all the resources in the world or all the knowledge in the world. They have the president though (by the balls, I mean), they have the shock-induced stupor of the media, and they could also count on people's short memories. That's all the smoke-screen they needed.

Incompetence due to extreme arrogance and desperation. However, even if the people involved go to prison, many of those behind them who benefitted from the attacks- Bilderberg, CFR, etc. won't necessarily be exposed. As they're currently controlling the Democratic Party, it doesn't matter to them if the truth comes out- they'll make different moves to maintain their power.

Among the various theory groups (OCT, mihop, lihop etc), the one that pisses me off the most is that the Gov. could never have pulled it off because of their total bumbling incompetence.

In my opinion the mile wide trail of questions and so called coincidences nicely melds together the incompetence and mihop schools of thought. If 911 was mihop and committed by a competent group of people, we would not be discussing it here today. The real incompetence is trying to pass the 'official story' off as the truth and not expecting to be called on it.

To paraphrase our War pResident, "I saw the 1st plane hit on TV and I thought, that's one had pilot"

(A) 1st plane not on TV...at least broadcast
(2) He had numerous warnings, including the 8/6 PDB. Could he really believe it was pilot error after getting the PDB, delivered by Tenet, that said bin Laden to attack US, using planes, and targeting major US infrastructures? Or did he think we'd never know about the PDB and the warnings?
