I have no problems with 9/11 posts being moved here. Having a separate forum allows us to have a more focused and concentrated discussion.

But I don't think it is right to dump every alternative or conspiracy theory here. Chemtrails, alien lizards, etc., have nothing to do with 9/11 and should not be moved here. Moreover, it tends to ratify the idea that this forum is not really a 9/11 forum but a dump for anything tin foil hat or crazy.

Also, I remember reading a post by the mod, Magistrate, in which he said that any post about 9/11 that does not reflect any particular theory can remain in GD. Unfortunately, this isn't always the way enforcement occurs.

For example, the idea that the mainstream media is now reporting 9/11 truth issues seems to fall within the Magistrate's guidelines for posts that are appropriate for GD.

Now that the recent DU poll shows that about 80% of DUers believe in either LIHOP or MIHOP, and the admittedly non-scientific CNN poll shows that 80% of respondents believe in a coverup, it is clear that these are not "crazy conspiracy theories."

I also think that in light of these results it is not appropriate for official conspiracy theory apologists to argue that no one or almost no one who is rational believes in LIHOP or MIHOP.

I'm sorry, but I can do without people implying that there's something wrong with me because I'm firmly in the MIHOP camp. While it cannot be fully proven that CD/Pentagate went down as it did, I think the painstaking detailed research and effort some have put into proving their possibility certainly holds water in the face of the grotesque lack of information given by the OCT. Like RIF said - show me the Pentagon security/gas station/hotel footage. Please. Shut me up. I mean, if it happened as they said it did, what's the inherent harm in just releasing it?

Further, it seems certain people here are pretty much being given license to bust out all of the borderline ad hominems they please without reprimand. You gives no respect, you gets none back.

7. Can you imagine posters in say, the Women's Rights forum on DU

(just for the sake of argument) who did nothing but ridicule the posters there , calling them "nutty" or "loony", & criticizing without justification every little comment for whatever reason they wanted? Or occasional posters who went to that forum lashing out at people & calling them names? They wouldn't last an hour! and yet there's 3 or 4 posters on 9-11 forum who do this on a daily basis and others who do it when ever they feel the need to abuse someone and know they can get away with it here.

Why doesn't somebody recommend another place for those threads, call it "The Dump" or something like that. This way the 9/11 forum can be about...uh...9/11 stuff.

Great idea! I participate in other boards where new sections are regularly added to accommodate the changing situation.

Another possible name: "Free Range" - you get to discuss any wild stories/theories you want.
