Our county had Politics in the Park tonight. Some good news.
It traditionally has become Republican in nature. The last couple of years, Democrats have been taking part more, though we are not especially welcome.

One of our active DFA folks here had a table for Betty Castor materials. She said she was very pleased at the number of Republicans who stopped to talk and who said they would be voting for Kerry this year. Don't know the number, but got the impression she was surprised.

We are seeing more K/E signs now, at least on the lawns that are not covered with tree trunks and branches. Many yards are too full yet to have room for a sign.

Our high school class mailing list is so so so traditionally pro-Republican that I just quit taking part. Recently however, someone mentioned something about this "horrible war." No one argued. Last year I was called unpatriotic. This year I doubt I would be.
