What is Sharpton's agenda?

Why does this man attack Dean so relentlessly?

We know Sharpton is a good friend of the Clintons, and rumor is Clark was a Clinton plant, could the Clinton connection be the reason?

As a black man myself, I am sold on Dean whether he hired minorities or not, my concern is more his programs while governor of Vermont. Sure, it's great to have a diverse cabinet but what good is diversity if your representation is Powell, Rice and Clarence Thomas? Would Sharpton be happy had Dean hired these three clowns to his cabinet?

He talked about getting delegates and making a play at the convention. The thought that he would not give delegates to a clear winning nominee is unconscionable. I have to wonder if he will just stay in forever because he can. I mean they can all stay forever. That would be terrible.

Sharpton is about Sharpton. He is trying to replace Jackson as the pulse of Black America. He's also trying to cut a deal for his delegates and endorsement that will pay him dividends later on.

I'm a white American and find him to be repulsive. Take it for what it's worth.

6. I know race relations isn't on the agenda

for Dean. He says it often when someone brings up race he always mention ALL Americans. Hey, that tactic has been working for him so far, so who I am to knock it. But as an AA it rubs me the wrong way.

Sharpton's agenda is to let the democratic party not forgot the REAL democratic base. That is minorities and working people who vote democrat faithfully for years and are being taken for granted. These are people who are living paycheck to paycheck. These are people who are not first time voters and computer savvy.

I guess these people are irrelevant to the party. Until the race gets extremely tight, then whoever is the nominee will hope and pray that Sharpton will help to get out the vote for him.

that could feed him. I think he had a valid point of seeking to find out if Dean will being minorities into his cabinet in key positions but the way he went about it stunk to high heaven.

If Dean can't take the heat in the primaries (and he looked like a deer caught in the headlights when the question was asked!), how the hell does he expect to make it in the general election???

Sharpton's agenda seems to me to be to "kick the donkey all the way to the convention," i.e., remind the party of a big part of its constituency.

12. I read that Sharpton is upset because he would like to be seen as the new

Jesse Jackson and he is not getting the African American support that Jackson did in his run for President.

If you remember, Sharpton started attacking Dean from the day after Jesse Jackson, Jr. announced his endorsement of Dean.

However, I wouldn't be surprised if he has been contacted to be a surrogate for someone.
