Kerry Needs Arkansas. Arkansas is the first Southern state to fall -- before Florida, before even West Virginia. Bush has been consistently ahead in Florida this year when the polls are averaged and even the vast majority of Dems acknowledge they can't count on voter anger there, due to massive population turnover and preoccpation with natural disasters.

In Arkansas, Kerry was neck-and-neck through August and september until the VERY DAY his campaign withdrew. Then the poll gap jumped almost immediately on news that Kerry had abandoned the state.

Check out the Votemaster website state poll graph for confirmation of this trend: Kerry and northeastern Dems essentially told Arkansas to go to hell, we don't need you.

2. Can't Clinton recuperate in Arkansas on someone's front porch from now
to Nov. 3?

Mr. President, are you on DU right now? Will you consider it?
