Apparently, Democrats are so busy arguing with each other

that they don't have the opportunity to see how silly they look. I seldom post here but I have been coming to DU almost daily for several years now. Some of the comments I've seen lately are downright petulant and childish, especially among staunch supporters of certain candidates. I really don't see how the Democrats can expect to win the general election when some of the candidates are too stupid and vindictive to figure out that the Republicans are the ones they're supposed to be criticizing! God knows Bush has given us plenty of topics with which to bash him with.

I agree, much of the latter here - but then again, this is the time when the Democratic candidate to defeat Bush is determined.

Once the nomination's there, and the petty politicking goes on, is when I'll pass final judgement. Until then it's fairly justifiable fair game.

Besides, I am reminded of the very significant call to support for the Democratic candidate, that was made by Howard Dean, during a live debate and endorsed by the other candidates.

It's not as bad as it is made to look by a few diehards here on DU.

The nominating process should be a competition to see who can trash Bush in the most substantial way. That way the winner isn't very nicked up for the finals.
