Everyone want to help me fill out? I'll mail it off in a couple days. It's kind of nice to be able to look the people up on the net while voting.
Ok, first off I'll vote for Kerry and against Bush.
US Rep District 14 = Ron Paul(REP) and nobody else
Wait, this guy doesn't sound have bad:
Congress should make America safer by expanding liberty and refocusing our foreign policy on defending this nation's vital interests, rather than wasting American blood and treasure on quixotic crusades to “democratize” the world.http://www.house.gov/paul/tst/tst2004/tst101104.htmSounds like a republican that actually isn't just ditto head. Wow a conservative with priciples. Ok, maybe I don't mind voting for him. Cool he's against the war. I'm not sure if I agree with him on tax issues, but he's as outraged as we are about Bush's abuse of power and the patriot act. He gets a vote, though what does it matter nobody's running against him.
State Senator= Mike Jackson(REP) and nobody running against him
http://www.senate.state.tx.us/75r/senate/members/dist11/dist11.htmCan't tell if there's anything good or bad about him.
State Rep, District 23 = Craig Eiland (DEM) and nobody else
http://www.house.state.tx.us/members/dist23/eiland.htmNot much info on where he stands either.
State Board of Education 7= David Bradley(REP) vs. William McNicoll(LIB)
Can't find crap on the LIB. Ooooh Bradley was an Eagle Scout.
http://www.tea.state.tx.us/sboe/board/bradley.htmlOk, I think for the rest I'm going to vote in this Priority:
DEM, LIB, nothing (I'd rather leave it blank then vote REP).
I'm pretty sure I'm allowed to leave the thing blank, to vote for none of them. Most of the judges have nobody running against them.
SO WHY THE HELL ISN'T ANYONE RUNNING AGAINST THESE PEOPLE?Is democracy dead?
Is it just the redistricting?
Why can't I vote for a democratic congressman?
