Imagine seeing you here: when Kerry met Lennon
The Times

Early in his Senate career, John Kerry earned the nickname Live Shot for his unerring ability to get in front of cameras.

It was a talent the Democrat presidential challenger had evidently honed since youth: he got himself photographed with John F. Kennedy and Arthur Miller and was twice in the picture with Jane Fonda — although one was later exposed as a Republican fake. Now this photograph of him with John Lennon has surfaced.

In April 1972, he and his photographer friend George Butler were caught in the rain at a Vietnam peace rally in Bryant Park, New York. As they sheltered in the back of a lorry, they heard its hydraulic lift rising. “Standing on the lift were John Lennon and Yoko Ono, levitating mystically in front of me,” Mr Butler recalled. “The lift reached its full height, and as Lennon stepped by me I called out his name. He turned and I took this picture.”

John Kerry: A Portrait — Photographs by George Butler will be published in Britain by TimeWarner this month. Photographs from the book will appear in The Times Magazine on Saturday October 30.

4. "Liveshot" was used to DISCREDIT Kerry's investigations of IranContra and
BCCI. The media WOULD NOT COVER the issues and Kerry had to get the info out the only way he could at the time, and that was by finding a camera.

That was also when Dick Cheney tried to destroy him by calling him a "conspiracy theory nut" to the press.

The Moonie Times totally went after Kerry instead of reporting the discoveries made in IranContra and BCCI.

Too bad so many are so easily led by media manipulation. The "Liveshot" accusation was repeated here ad nauseum during the primaries. They believed the planted GOP stories over the truth of Kerry's work.

7. well, dammit! what do you expect?
If memory serves correctly, it was their "beloved" Ronnie! And wasn't it Daddy Bush too? re Iran-Contra?

Didn't President Daddy Bush pardon the entire bevy of wrongdoers and alleged-wrongdoers-before-they-were-charged-of-wrongdoing re Iran-Contra? Yes, I believe GHWBush did do that. Indeed. GHWBush had quite a long laundry list of presidential pardons the last few months of his presidency.

Of course, the forces of evil came out to get that horrible Liberal from that horrible state of Massachusetts when he (John Kerry) was pushing the Senate investigations on these thugs!! eeeewwwwwwwwwwww.

. . . .

9. Great story. And note the Time Warner Publisher stuff.
As we know, Time Warner won't give Democrats a fair shake in their propaganda TV business, but here they are in their role as a book publisher. Cheats.
