Poll: Dean Widens Lead Over Gephardt in Iowa (Zogby) |
|
DES MOINES, Iowa (Reuters) - Democratic presidential front-runner Howard Dean widened his lead over Missouri Rep. Richard Gephardt in Iowa to five percentage points with six days left before the state's caucuses, according to a Reuters/MSNBC/Zogby poll released on Tuesday.
The former Vermont governor picked up two percentage points on Gephardt in the three-day tracking poll to lead 28-23 percent as the race for the Democratic nomination's first big prize headed into the final stretch.
Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry and North Carolina Sen. John Edwards continued their tight battle for third place, with Kerry climbing one point to 17 percent and Edwards picking up two points to 14 percent.More: http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=politicsNews&storyID=4117007

We'll be peaking next, but we'll be peaking too early (tm) again.

4. Especially in a State that Dean was expected not to win. |
|
When they say the race is tightening in Iowa, do they remember that it was tight all along?

10. We ain't seen nothing yet.... |

it's gonna get even uglier (if that is possible) from now on. It started last night when Judy Dean was being bashed by fellow Democrats here on DU. Hold on for a very bumpy ride for The Doctor and his supporters.

I'm doing lots of last minute push type work before our caucus Feb 7th. By then I hope Dean has several states under his belt and adds Michigan to them. :-)

praising Dean and qualifying his support in a huge way. Iowans seem to be a very straight forward and no nonsense group of voters, with this said, no wonder they are coming out in support of Howard Dean. GO HOWARD!!!
