Karen Hughes does not deny Bush casualties claim
If you've followed this crap as long as we DUers have, you can spot the obfuscation and avoidance a mile away..."I wasn't there..." "I can't imagine he'd say that..." and several other end runs around the question. But no matter how she was asked, she simply would not deny Bush making the statement.

So PLEASE, John Kerry...ask him point-blank. Did you say you thought there be no casualtied, or is Pat Robertson a liar? Which is it?

8. Every segment of every so-called news program
some talking head is bringing it up. It is building. Where the hell was God, Mr. Bush? So much for your faith-based wars.

16. Thanks, Atman -
I'm sure Teresa didn't say it in a snide way. Will they try to "Mary Cheney" this, I wonder? "Teresa "furriner" Heinz Kerry calls Pickles a slacker."

They've stepped in it.

9. Delicious.

Of course, "The President is the real optimist in this race" takes on new meaning now.

Watch, though. Robertson will take it back and say he isn't sure he heard it correctly or he was misquoted etc.s

14. Here's an easy line for Kerry to do:
"This President took us to war denying to his closest of supporters, the Christian Right, that there would be any casualties. This either reaffirms his penchant for misleading those who put trust in him or he doesn't seem to have the foggiest idea about the realities of war. Either way, both are dangerous traits for a Commander in Chief."

15. Not really surprising.
They are so arrogant, they don't feel even the need to deny anything.
They think that they will win no matter what they do or say. They are wrong.

they'd deny, but Robertson's too popular with their fundie base. I can imagine Robertson is shitting his pants after giving Kerry amo against his butt boy *.

20. Yes, Karen tap danced around that question quite nicely
Another thing I noticed was her facial demeanor. She struck me as kind of depressed. Anyone notice that? The look that suggests all is not well in the Bush Camp. The look that comes from watching Bush's internal polling numbers plummet.

I've been noticing this more and more in other Bush operatives lately. Just shut off the sound and look into their eyes, that's the real story.

Take it to the Bank, the Bush Campaign is desperate, and for good reason.
