3. That's a good read
I was starting to get depressed.

Easy to do around here where there isn't a liberal on the air for hundreds of miles.

4. Listen to internet radio
That's what I do. There are a lot of good liberal programs that are streamed over the internet.

5. Two encouraging signs in the worst areas

One: cheating is openly being fought back and overwhelmed compared to 2000 and is likely to swell voter turnout for us. An automatic couple of percent so long as BBV is kept down.

Two: October Surprises seem to be scrapped and definitely not as scary seeing as how they have blown EASIER strategies such as the debates and the smears. You need a lot of blind cooperation from others to achieve a planned "surprise". If they are crazy enough to try something bloody they are crazy enough to get punished for it too as Aznar was.

I think it is abysmal that we may have allowed them to get close to succeeding in those two strategies after years of neglect, but finally the danger seems to be slipping.

THIS time we must keep up an onslaught for voting and campaign finance reform that help the legitimate aims of all LEGITIMATE parties. If that forces the GOP to try to please the voters more with real service to their needs it is a medicine they must swallow along with Democratic incumbents.

I said this was absolute last time too and 2002 happened. The Democrats must include this on their list of things to accomplish to be a politically competent organization. Their must be no bipartisan deals among parties that are afraid of voters and accountability.

A voice crying in the wilderness: Success in a bad situation does not mean that that the situation must not be changed. Eventually the bad guys will profit more from a bad system. DUMP the electoral college when you have a chance. Get big money out as far as you can. Stop the debate gamesmanship. It has become so critical it can't simply be presumed the good guy will always win(or even get to debate) despite the rigging. Fairness Doctrine and fraud laws with TEETH.
