How much more out of touch with reality can George W. Bush get?
<snip>

Does That Mean God Was Wrong: Reprise

President George W. Bush intoned more than once as the rationale for War On Iraq-"I was called by God for this moment." Now that the Intelligence has been exposed as - well, less than intelligent, Did God have it wrong?

GWB is playing with fire. using God as his rationale for going to War with Iraq is dangerous business and it could backfire on him.

"God told me to strike at Al Qaida and I struck them," he told Palestinian Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas "and then He instructed me to strike at Saddam, which I did, and now I am determined to solve the problem in the middle east... If you help me I will act, and if not, the elections will come and I will have to focus on them." "

That was George as the Prophet. Now, he's using God as his Campaign Manager:

These are the words of a prophet and many American Christians believe Bush to be a prophet. According to Ron Susskind, it is the church that is Bush's base and he's counting on them to win this election.

But he should be concerned because being a prophet is a two-edged sword.

"But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die" (Deuteronomy 18:20).

How does one know if Bush is a false prophet?

"When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him." Deuteronomy 18:22

1. Judas served God's purpose as well.
Didn't absolve him of his guilt.
