1. except for all...
the others that are speaking up against the war. Like Kucinich, Clark, Moseley-Braun, Sharpton, and yes, even Kerry and Edwards.

2. Kucinich was the only Congressmen to stand his anti-war ground
(Kucinich the Congressional candidate) The others were chickenshit Bush enablers. Sorry.

3. Believe what you want...
but you'll have to prove to me that Moseley-Braun, Sharpton and Clark were "chickenshit Bush enablers".

No need to be sorry, either. You're free to believe whatever outlandish stuff you want. But if you spout it here, you'd best have something to back it up.

11. the original assertion
is that Dean was the only candidate to oppose the war. That's demonstrably false.

4. Some have funny ways of speaking, though
For example Kerry - out of both sides of his mouth.

17. Clark was for the war... and said he'd vote for the IWR

and Sharpton and CMB were not even really getting any attention back when the war vote was happening.

Kucinich is the only one on your list who really deserves the same credit as Dean.

5. Is It Time to Believe?
Bill Clinton rebuilt the Democratic Party in crucial ways. But Howard Dean is rebuilding it in a way Clinton missed.
Party insiders would do well to make their peace with it.

8. I absolutely love Michael Tomasky!
He was a writer for New York Magazine and now an executive editor at "The American Prospect" TAP and he's the best!
Thanks, duder!
<snip>
"Insiders need to start thinking about making their peace with Deanism. The party—the (still) post-1988 party—needs a rebuilt base, and Dean is doing that in a way that has no precedent. And instead of fretting about all the ways Dean could lose, the insiders might do better to spend some time thinking about how he might win.

Because he might. It was interesting that, in the wake of Gore's endorsement of Dean, it was conservative commentator William Kristol who wrote the column that most emphatically enumerated Bush's vulnerabilities. Sure, Kristol may have had his own reasons for arguing that Dean is competitive, but the facts of Bush's weak points are real. He has the powers of incumbency, money and a feared (actually, overly feared) political operation. But his numbers are soft. Gore's 2000 states plus Ohio or Arizona is a long, long way from being an impossible task—for Dean or for any of the aforementioned.

So let the race begin. And expect the impossible. It happens often.<snip>

7. Do you watch anyone other than Dean?
Your statement is easily proven incorrect. I don't want to waste my time to be honest.

13. Kucinich vote was heroic, Dean was just an opportunist
Kucinich had to actually vote and has to face the voters again. Dean was just another out of work politician when he came out of left field against this war. Dean was just looking for an opportunity to differentiate himself from the other Dems. Compare that with Kucinich's lifelong campaign for peace.

not dropping it like a Hot Potato. bushco made a big mess there and we have to clean up his waste and do it ethically.

14. DK spoke up first, and voted against it in Congress
Dean himself gave DK credit a few debates ago for his consistent anti-war stance, right there on stage.

Please consider that fact before posting a one sentence thread with such an egregious error. :-)
