Just ran across this on another board, and I thought someone here might know the answers to the poster's questions:
"I'm getting emails (two in the past week) saying that Laura Bush killer her fiance (or lover depending on which email) in a car crash. This is old news, but the NEW news I'm hearing (and which I have questions about) concerns Laura Bush's lies (?) about the incident. Does anyone know:
1. Did Laura Bush give interviews during her husband's early political life stating that she was not driving, and this has been proved to be false?
2. Did Laura Bush give interviews during her husband's early political life stating that the roads on the day of the fatal crash were rainy and slick, and this has been proved to be false?
3. Did Laura Bush give interviews during her husband's early political life stating that her boyfriend was riding in an open jeep, and this has been proved to be false because he was riding in a 1962 Corvair Sedan?
4. Did Laura Bush give interviews during her husband's early political life stating that Michael Douglas (the victim) was not her ex-boyfriend, and this has been proved to be false?
5. Did Laura Bush give interviews during her husband's early political life stating that she did not know who her victim was until she got to the hospital, and this has been proved to be false because Michael Douglas's father was following his son's car and was on the scene seconds after the crash and Laura Bush saw and acknowledged her ex-boyfriend's body, her ex-boyfriend’s car, and her ex-boyfriend's father at the scene of the fatality?
I'm not sure if any of this matters, but both recent emails make two points that ring true to me.
First point: because this incident happened in west Texas, if Laura Bush had been of Mexican descent, she would still be in jail today, but she got preferential treatment and was not even indicted because of her family connections.
Second point: if Hillary Clinton had this in her background, the media would have been reporting on this all day, every day throughout the Clinton presidency but the media has given the Bush presidency a pass.
Does anyone know if all this is true?"
Does anyone have a fact-based response to this post that I could relay?
