Iowa was razor close in 2000. Al Gore won it narrowly. I hope whoever the nominee is realizes that this will not be their last trip to Iowa. This is why a high turnout at the caucuses will be a good thing, as it will mobilize Democrats for the fall. Regardless of who prevails in Iowa, a large turnout will be a victory for the party.

to be honest most states are probably up for grabs at this point. Once they get the nomination they get to start all over again. California used to be a Democrat haven but not so sure now.

And Clark has said that when he's the nominee, his first campaign visit will be to Iowa. I think he (rightfully) wants to be very solicitous of the Iowa voters since he couldn't really participate in the caucuses.

Or wouldn't? What, is there a rule that says you have to have been a democrat for more than a month?
