It does not matter, they planned this, and got their headlines for Kerry.

They went with a incomplete story on purpose, to have it debated and put Bush on the defensive with something he had no way of knowing the facts on, because only Bush needs facts, not Kerry.

God help us.

I got an e-mail response from the NYT stating that they are and will continue to stand by their story and that I was mistaken...that the story was not bias!!! JERKS!!! Can't see the freight train cuz the tunnel is too dark!

After the elections, everyone should call for the government to conduct an investigation into the media attempting to circumvent the elections.

"I guess the NY Slimes doesn't excel in math."

You have an excellent point here.

The application of math requires logic skills that cannot be mastered without what Robert Heinlein called, "skull sweat"! I seriously doubt that any of the writers on this story from the times had the remotest idea that their claims of "looters" removing 380 tons of ANYTHING from ANYWHERE would not stand up under logical scrutiny.

Anyone who knows how to apply logical rigor to the analysis of a problem has learned to do do so through hard work.

Had they used Occam's Razor on this story they would have realized that their conclusions were delusional.

The Greeks knew that, whom the Gods would destroy, they first make mad.

The ultimate madness is the inability to think logically and objectively.

This is the essence of this story.

3. the funniest part is
how they sarcastically refer to a handful of iraqi's (not to mention of member of the puppet government) as "unimpeachable sources"

but then it was ok for us to rely on a handful of iraqis to tell us about saddam's wmds

haha if it weren't so scary it'd be funny

nah, it's still funny

17. Well, he should know the facts, he told us about all his meetings.
At the debates, Junior talked about meeting in the basement with the generals and meeting with his "Budget Man" and all of his other Big Important CIC stuff that he slept right through. :eyes: Well, it is hard, hard work, zoning out through critical info. like that.

13. BTW - Why would Saddam want to move the weapons to Russia?
In the first fucking place? These were NOT banned weapons. Wouldn't he want to keep them around -- i don't know -- to perhaps fight the Americans when they bombed the fuck out of his palaces?

15. ROFLMAO! Yes!!! Please investigate the media!!!
Every time I hear about the "liberal" media ...

Ok, last night at our monthly Ethics & Morals mandatory meeting at my daughter's school (Montessori class), we were discussing politics. Anyway, one of the parents piped up about now that we "know" about the "liberal" media.

Well, there's a lot of background on this. I went on a trip as a chaperone this past May to Washington DC and this parent was there too. He's Republican, the wife is Democrat. Although the wife is a Dem and voting for Kerry, she's also (and I quote) "Israel is always right. Anything for Israel."

So, I went up to him afterward and said, "Liberal Media? Remember our discussion in Washington?" He says, "Yes. That's why I went to Vietnam." :wtf: I told him I can hardly stand to listen to MSNBC or CNN anymore...and forget about Fauxviews. Liberal media? Are you serious?"

Well, the really bright spot is that another parent piped up and said he likes to watch Fox just so he can laugh. (I stared not really sure where this was going). Then he loudly proclaimed he's a "Recovering Republican"!!!! Oh well, guess you had to be there.

I completely agree. Investigate the media ASAP. They have given Bush as pass since 9/11 and the propoganda continues.

19. I think they are right

But for us- the 'reality-based community'- to understand them clearly, they should preface their assertions with the color of the sky on their planet. It's either red or green....

:D
