The Polls were off by a longshot in 2000. Gore was down 5-8 points
and he won the popular vote.
The polls (which favor suburban and rural voters and oversample GOP voters) have this one neck and neck.
Unless the Repukes can disenfranchise enough voters, or somehow steal it, this one is in the bag for Kerry no matter what toe-sucking Dick Morris wants us to believe.

1. How much did the DUI revelation hurt Bush at the end?
Because that's what the excuse from the other side always is for the polling not turning out accurate. Were there polls done after the revelation that still had Bush up 5-8 points?

3. 1 point
Not that much. Most voters had already chosen.

2. Gore was behind Bush THIRTEEN POINTS
5 days before the election in 2000 in the most corrupt of the polls, Gallup:

Have the pollsters cleaned up their act and are using a more accurate methodology this time around, or is Kerry way ahead at this point... I guess we'll know in less than a week.
