If Kerry wins Iowa, what do you think will happen in NH?

I think the race will get much more interesting should Kerry pull out a victory on monday. He could be deemed 2004's "comeback kid" and earn a surge of momentum going into NH.

Unfortunately, he would most likely cut into Clark's numbers and recent upward surge. Would he gain enough momentum to bypass Clark & Dean straight into #1 or be in a battle w/ Clark for #2? Or is there a different scenario you think that might happen altogether??

1. Dean will be toast

Dean was the chosen one. If he doesn't win Iowa, Dean will be bypassed by both Kerry and Clark in NH.

Edwards could keep surging and bump just above him...man that would be the worst...for Dean...

While watching Hardball last night, they all pretty much agreed how surprised they are that so many are open to changing their minds...and doing so.

As for Dean, I think it might be a stumble for his campaign, but given the enormous grassroots efforts, I'm pretty confident that he'll make a comeback after reviewing their strategies. He's being (unfairly, IMO) constanlty depicted as left-wing extremist and had to fend off attacks from other candidates, not to mention the conservative attacks.

What I found stunning were the comments about the 'negative' campaign comments from the poll group. They must be seeing something different than what I've been exposed to here in Illinois. Kerry and Gephardt have been the most negative of them all. Edwards is the only one who's stayed above it all.

5. Look how much the Iowa race has changed in ONE WEEK!!!

It's impossible to tell at this point. My best guess is:

1. Dean (Not by much)
2. Clark (stronger than expected)
3. Kerry (also stronger than expected)

I will say that NOTHING would surprise me at this point!

6. I still think it would be a contest between Clark and Dean

Probably it would help Clark significantly, because the buzz out of Iowa would be Dean stumbled and blew a big early lead. I doubt Kerry would gain enough momentum to climb all the way to first in New Hampshire, although I will say anything is possible of course.

Clark will win NH with Kerry or Dean coming a distant second. Clark will then go on to win a convincing nomination and choose Howard Dean as his running mate. This was made possible by Clark never outwardly criticizing Dr. Dean.

The super organization of the Dean campaign will join forces in an unbeatable team. Dean's loyal supporters will join Clark's loyal supporters and most of the supporters of the other candidates and the fence straddlers will join in. Some people won't have the capacity to understand a General who is truly interested in peace in the world. Along with the millions of independents and dissatisfied Republicans, the general election will be a surprise landslide.

And all of us will have accomplished what we set out to do.

WE WILL HAVE REMOVED GEORGE BUSH!

Lastly, Dennis Kucinich will be the next "Bachelor" and finally find a date and the Rev. Al Sharpton will start a wonderful program for disadvantaged youth.
