Iowa Dean supporters are out canvassing and volunteering for the campaign

So there are a lot of them that aren't home to answer phone calls from pollsters. Due to the nature of Howard Dean's people powered campaign and the "Perfect Storm" activities, rallies, etc...it means when pollsters make their polling calls, less Dean supporters are sitting at home. They are out working, going to rallies and being active.

The other candidates would be wise not to put a whole lot of weight in the recent poll results. All it means it that Dean supporters are too busy working for their candidate to sit at home and answer the phone. :D

on cnn and fox news today kerry blew them off as he has always done. he knows any support he gets will be from the people themselves so he is meeting and talking to them, answering questions as much as he can and will continue to.

3. I Actually Agree, Dean Will Do Better Than Polls Indicate

I think Kerry or Edwards will need to take about a 3-5% lead over Dean into Monday in order to win, with Gephardt being able to make up for that edge via his experienced machine.

I'm a Dean supporter, and I understand that lots of us will be and are canvassing and going door to door.

But I really don't think that explains Kerry's rise in the polls. And I don't think that the polling numbers will necessarily be reflected in the actual outcome on Monday night.

If you are at all concerned about the outcome in Iowa and the rest of the campaign (as I am) why not just write a few letters to NH, or donate a little money.

10. Actually, I work in NH 6 days a week

And I've been promoting Dean in NH ever since I heard he was running and long before he was even the tiniest blip on the radar screen. Dean was my governor.

5. Kerry doing well may hurt Clark in the long run

If Kerry wins Iowa (which will somewhat suprise me) he is bound to stay in the race longer than I would expect. That may hurt Clark since I think their followers are the most similar, either one of them dropping out would really help the other.

and I think my guy Dean would be the benficiary. Clark and Kerry supporters seem to have a great deal in common regarding their desire to have a veteran in the presidency. Splitting those folks and allowing Dean to amass primary victories could give him the nomination. Of course I'd hope Dean would win them over on his own, but I do see this as a possibility.

7. Another possibility, Iowans are taking a break

from answering their doors and phones because the invasion by 10,000 teens for Dean from out of state has worn them out. LOL
