Poll question: Should U.S. territories be allowed to elect presidents?

This has made me wonder for a long time.The people of territories like Guam or Puerto Rico are considered U.S. citizens, can join the U.S. military, and enjoy the rights and freedoms associated with America yet they do not have the right to cast a vote for president. Do you think that should change?

2. People in Iraq should have a say in who gets to be our president.

Anywhere we have troops stationed, the people of that country should have one electoral vote.
If we had direct-election of the president, any country we are occupying should be able to vote the same way Americans do.

4. Absolutely.

If we cannot either incorporate ALL citizens into our electoral process in this, the dawn of the Third Millenium, then we are guilty of colonialism as surely as any covilization in history. If they are citizens, then they should be fully-integrated intop the electoral process.

Doubt it. I wouldn't like that.

The electoral college was originally a representative of the state, not the people. D.C. is a special exception to that. Until we refine i to better represent the people, while still protecting the office of president from the mob-ruled madly insane people, it outta stay.
