If my discussion with my African-American neighbor means anything

after the outcome of this election if it goes to Bush many will feel as though their vote means nothing and their vote as a group will be depressed even more in the future. I sure hope this is not the case. He looked grief-stricken. What can I say? I feel as bad as he.

as always....especially the urban vote.

I feel as though we've failed them. This is so terrible.

This morning I'm just so convinced they've gamed the system to the point it will take years and years to reverse the damage. The only - and I'm grasping at straws because I"m desperate here - the ONLY plus to this is that Bush indeed will have to clean up his own mess. And he can't. So if we can survive the next four, I'd like to believe you're right and we will take back the vote.

But we may have to forget Ohio and Florida and start working on some of the states in the Southwest. Ai yi yi. I can't even think this morning.
