No, seriously.

You know like when you have a really bad break-up with somebody, and you feel actually BETTER off, because you can do whatever you want, and your loyalties to that person have been cut? Well, that's what I feel like.

I feel like I can leave this country and its people now with a clear conscience, as I have given them a fair shot at redemption (which, of course, they failed to do). I'm actually looking forward to moving to Canada or Europe. It's been on my mind for awhile, and I don't even feel bad about it anymore.

I'm kind of happy. :)

2. You're not understanding what I'm saying.
It's not that I'm afraid. It's that I don't give a SHIT anymore about these people. WHY would I want to SAVE or fight simultaneously for and against those who are SCUM?

3. Funny, you think you can escape the United States
You do realize that the United States is the most powerful nation in the world and it's military maneuvers will effect you. It's pollution will effect you. If you go somewhere else, you screw us all. You certainly have the right to be selfish though.

8. Dude- THIS IS THE WORST PRESIDENT WE'VE EVER HAD
that 51% of our population just voted for!!!! We are SURROUNDED by SCUM. Fucking brainwashed drones. I don't owe them anything. I'm not going to try to save their asses, and I couldn't even if I tried! They're too far gone! The media is fucked, corporations are fucked, democracy is fucked, the Republicans control everything through fear. The whole thing is done. There's NOTHING LEFT TO SAVE.

9. What about the other 48% that voted for Kerry, that's a lot of people
How heartless are you? Are you even one of the 48%?

6. I hear what you're saying
I gave up "fighting" for the ignorant blue collar conservatives a long time ago. I don't think I ever had any illusions that they were worth saving from the depredations of the Republicans. If they want to pollute their minds with nonsense and ship their kids off to fight in foreign wars, that's their bad call. The GOP sees them as expendable cattle fodder to be duped and raped for tax money, votes, and enlistment and if they want to mindlessly fulfill that role, that's their problem. Look how the rubes went around shrieking that John Kerry was going to raise their taxes, even though he had clearly stated on numerous occasions no such thing would happen.

Rather, my focus on being a liberal for a while now has been to keep the Jesus freaks and polluters off our asses and help the decent people who know the truth about what's going on in this country. I have no patience nor time for ignorant assholes; they simply need to get out of the way so the worthwhile citizens can have a say in their own lives.

4. difference of opinion
I feel liberated because now we can reform the democratic party into a lean, mean progressive machine. You may be giving up, but some changes are coming to the dems, good or bad.

5. Well, I can only hope for that.
And while I'm here I'll do what I can. But I have no loyalty to the majority of my countrymen anymore, and I don't feel bad about leaving.

7. How about this
Don't give up your citizenship - just go abroad and teach English. There is a heavy demand in a variety of countries, and you can see the world and make some cash.
