I thought it would be interesting to predict who might be the nominee based purely on personality/likability/celebrity power. Think of it as the lowest common denominator by which the less knowledgeable choose their President.
Why? Because a large portion of the electorate votes this way (explains Schwarzenegger, Reagan etc).
Of the nominees 4 stand out IMHO personality wise:
Quiet leaders (think Gary Cooper types): Edwards: handsome, engaging, personable, and sympathetic Clark: understated leader with undercurrents of idealism, passion, and compassion, handsome
Outspoken leaders: Dean: electric New Yorker, creative and energetic, loud Sharpton: quick-witted orator, very strong presence
Sharpton seems to be viewed by the public as a marginal candidate probably due to his past political history and possibly racism.
So, based only on this appeal to the LCD of personality/looks, I would predict a 3-way race between Clark, Dean and Edwards.
We'll soon see if this is how America decides their leaders.
