Will the winner of the IA caucus change your support?

I mean, strategically at least? I know everyone has their candidate, but depending on what happens, your second choice could come into play. I'm a Dean supporter, and I really only like Dean or Clark for the nomination. Kerry's surge in IA, particularly, worries me. If he wins, he could take second in NH back from Clark, or even top Dean for first. If Dean were to lose IA and NH, I would definitely have to change my support to Wesley Clark. Would anyone change their support depending on who wins IA and/or NH?

I'm a Clark supporter, but i personally wouldn't not vote for my party even though i think that Dean is a weak canidate.

Edwards would probably be my number two.

If Dean wins Iowa and it boils down to a two way race in NH between Dean and Clark, I'll be rooting for Dean. But if Senator Kerry is the winner in Iowa, I'll remain with him.

I'm all for Wes Clark but a Kerry resurgence strengthens my support for him as choice #2.

I think either Clark or Kerry have the gravitas and credibility to show well and defeat * with a slight edge to Clark. I like Edwards very much but I don't see him as experienced enough in key areas to have a strong chance of winning in Nov.

I used to be a Kucinich supporter and there is no way I will vote for a Washington insider who voted for the war and the Patriot Act. I rather stay home. If Bush wins is because we nominated a Bush lite candidate and we have no one else to blame. My support is not transferable.

About the only other candidate I could support is Kucinich - and even that is wavering after his dealmaking with pro-war Edwards. Clark is on even more shaky ground after the revelations about his support of the SOA and lobbying for "defense" corporations.

I've liked him a lot from the beginning, but have always questioned if he could generate enough support. If he finishes in the top two, he would answer that question.

I'll only support a candidate who offers sound positions, a reasonable record of public service, and evidence of a social vision. And I definitely won't support candidates who pander to powerful interests and indulge in theocratic claptrap.

Either the party nominates a candidate worthy of my support, or it doesn't. Either it embraces a progressive future, or it doesn't. Simple as that. Should it fail I'll be content to say adios for another four years and perhaps consider giving it another chance in the future.

And I think by then Dean will have regained frontrunner status. This Iowa stuff is a last gasp for some. I expect Gephardt, Lieberman and Kucinich to be out on super 7 Tues. in Feb., if they don't win, place or show in any of the primaries.

I could live with Kerry. He's kind of running a distant 3rd for me but I won't lose my lunch if he turns out to be the candidate.

I don't expect to be changing. However, the Texas primary is still a couple of months away. I can't vote for Clark, but Kerry or Edwards wouldn't present any problems for me.
