Field Report from the CCN: Door to Door with Mo Rocca and the Today Show
"But anyway, on with Sunday afternoon. After a quick lunch, I got back to Manchester HQ to drop off the cavassing results, when we heard some whispers and rumors that the Today show would be following one of the canvassing groups. Just then, the camera crew walked in, and someone suspiciously resembling Mo Rocca was with them. Hmmm...

Turns out that the Today show plans to follow campaign volunteers from each campaign during door-to-door canvassing in order to make a comparison piece. And they picked my group!!!

So we went out with them and got some great conversations with some of the Manchester people. Of course, Mo being Mo, every once in a while, he would come up with one of his left-field off-kilter comments, so you had to be on your toes! But I think our group kept up with it. Fortunately it was for the Today show instead of The Daily Show (otherwise we'd REALLY need to keep our guard up), but it was all in good fun and a great way to get more publicity. Unless the NBC editors decide to get creative and make us look um, well, you know... ;)"
