I saw this group on Saturday and they are really doing good work in Iowa. This is a great endorsement and really shows exactly how we need to be building community again.

Ako Abdul-Samad During His Endorsement of John Kerry
Prominent community activist and School Board Member Ako Abdul-Samad will walk door-to-door across Des Moines today to get-out-the-vote in the hours before caucuses begin. Eight young future leaders from Des Moines will join him along the way to galvanize caucus-goers for John Kerry.
Abdul-Samad has devoted his life to community development, service to at-risk youth, and substance abuse prevention and crisis intervention. Abdul-Samad and John Kerry are both committed to giving America answers instead of anger and to returning our country to its former strength through increased support for early childhood education, national service, and strengthening community development.
Abdul-Samad joins other leading Iowans including First Lady Christie Vilsack, Attorney General Tom Miller, Iowa Agriculture Secretary Patty Duke and 27 state legislators in pledging to caucus for John Kerry tonight.
