2. Excellent comic - worth thinking about...
If we aren't willing to loose control of our tempers (in a non-violent manner) to get some control back, what next? As Hillel said, "If I am not for me, who will be?"

3. The problem I have with McGruder...
My wife was reading that there are plans to turn Boondocks into a cartoon. She read that the animation work would be going over to Korea instead of being done in the US.

It kind of gives me the feeling that he "talks the talk but doesn't walk the walk."

6. Most animation grunt work is done in Korea
For better or worse, the days of Disney being able to find legions of young artists with strong hands willing to draw the same set of seven dwarves over and over and over again for eight hours a day are pretty much gone. I've done more than a bit of animation in my day, and while the creative end is enjoyable and interesting, the actual leg work of creating in between frames is pretty damn rote and repetitive. (Which is one of the reasons why computers are one of the best things that ever happened to the world of animation.) The Koreans have had a corner on animation production for years. The Simpsons has been done over there since the series started, I think. Call it outsourcing, call it whatever, but it's pretty standard op. procedure for animation production these days... I'm not even sure if there's an American Animation Production Studio that could or would take that kind of project on if it involves old-school cel animation.

Speaking to a group of young people of color.

Not only was he a nice looking young man but his message was fantastic.

5. Comics Rule!
I think we should cede talk radio to the RW. We rule the comics! This is why we will win in the long-run. I suspect more kids read the newspaper comics page and derivatives than listen to RW talk radio. Mad Magazine and Batman comics are where I learned a lot of my morality, and they made me the liberal I am today! Thank God for the comics!
