1. Why neither left out?
Neither is a real threat in my opinion.

Dean because I don't see him beating Bush.

And the DLC because it has not real leader and it takes a strong leader to be effective.

2. Though
I don't consider either a major threat.

3. I picked Dean
because he has a chance to go up against Bush in the General Election. The DLC does not.

4. Yep.
BTW, the DLC is a think tank not an official party machine. It's power, as limited as that is, is confined to opinions and the actions of its memberships. It's no saint and it isn't the "Democratic Devil."

6. Is the DLC running?
This poll is a bit silly, I abstain.

7. What if I were to say Al Gore?
Wouldn't that mess up the categories?

By the way I do NOT think it is smart politics for any of the Democratic Party Candiaates to run for President by overtly trying to put distance between themselves and Bill Clinton. Gore tried that once, remember? An 8 year record of Peace and Prosperity to run on and he couldn't finish Bush off there and then.

That doesn't mean I am a big Clinton supporter because I am not. Clinton was the best President we have had in over 20 years, and that is the story in a nut shell. I would love to do better than Clinton. Maybe Dean can do better than Clinton. Maybe Clark can do better than Clinton, or Kerry, or someone else. More power to them I say.

But you don't have to run agianst Clinton to replace Bush. It is dumb for many reasons. Run against Bush, take credit for everything good a Democrat has ever done if you can make that sound plausible, then promise to do even better.

Blatent DLC bashing is stupid and divisive.
