Examine the war in Iraq, which is becoming a religious war against Islam, and creating millions of eager suicide bombers. Examine the morality of killing 100,000 civilians, half of them women and children.
Find your real voice, and it should be a compassionate voice, speaking out for people who can't speak for themselves. If people call you liberal, glory in it. Ask the Republicans which of the great social programs they sponsored. Fight the false labels — "Compassionate Conservative," "Clear Skies" bill, "Healthy Forest" bill.
Go after the corporations which victimize us all with their moral corruption. Fight the growing national budget deficit, because it will enslave our grandchildren.
Look for a leader who can talk about these issues with conviction and eloquence. And while you're at it, look at your women leaders, too.
And organize, organize, organize. Use the Internet to raise money from the little people, rather than depending on big money from the corporations. Value church-going Democrats who get their core values from their religion.
But mainly, do what your party does best — help people to live better lives.
Be real Democrats. And be proud of it.
It's about half-way down the page, the headline is "Democrats Need To Look At Their Roots."
