i have been hoping for several years now that mark shields would punch him right in the mouth on while they debated on PBS news.

brooks is a lightweight intellect ans one who is unaccustomed to having his work critiqued in a critical fashion. i have seen the dochebag flumoxed repeatedly when challenged on his intellectual inconsistencies.

I think he really thinks very little of the average American's intellect. He's really willing to say just about the most absurd things.

urbaan development, how to keep the central city alive and vital, that sort of thing. saw him interviewed on a PBS show about how madison wisconsin has used urban planning to save its downtown and integrate it with the univversity of Wisconsin.

not sure how that connects brooks with his political columnist life tho.
