4. A lot of politicians coopted the web site/blog idea from

Dean's campaign last year. But they still used a top-down approach; those blogs really weren't very interactive.

He says they finally realized at DFA that there had to be "some" top down, but not a lot. At first they thought none, but for a while it was necessary.

It is harder working in a group with more "ground-up" methods, as there is a fine balance that must be reached.

After the grand silence from the powers that be, I remain frustrated.

Dean wouldn't have been silent...neither would Wes Clark.

They would feel they OWE their supporters more.
