not have been. Bush is one the worst presidents of modern times. The vote spread should have been at least 5-10 million against him.

I've been hard on John Kerry, but I must admit. I'm mad because I studied him and have lots of respect for the man. Plus he's a very likable guy.

I remember Kerry's first visit to the south when he said it's George W. Bush that needs to be afraid of coming down here because of his record. But that was it....lights out.

Not one visit to NW Florida. I don't even remember him coming to Tallahassee (the capital of the state for God's sake). Someone correct me if I'm wrong, (crickets chirping).

If John Kerry would have walked around some southern state fairs, shook hands, let southerners see and touch him. What would have been the outcome? It didn't happen.

Bob Graham would have paraded that man around every little town along the Gulf Coast and you know what, Jeb and the boys would have shit their pants, because people really wanted to see John Kerry down here.

Why did Bush spend so much time in Ohio? Because Kerry was there, that's why.

If Kerry would have visited New Orleans, Jackson, Miss., Montgomery, Ala., etc. etc. Then guess what Bush would not have had so much time to run his W Bus around blue states.

We missed an opportunity here. We're going to pay for it the next four years too.

They can make the numbers any which way they want them, and now its that much simpler, because they own our votes AND THE ACCESS TO THEM.

For us to contest those little black boxes, we would have to file a court order. THE companies we essentially could be accusing of fraud have most of the control over the evidence, the transfer of the ballot information and the evidence and control over the outcome of the election.

There's no way to even KNOW if this was a close election honestly. We can get close, but we will never have fully have any idea what an accurate count was. And with each election cycle these companies and the individuals inside those companies become more skilled at controlling (and/or manipulating?)the outcomes.

they had to do two things, scam the electoral votes, and scam the popular vote so that they could have a convincing win.

all they had to do is cook the machines in some places, and in others, they skimmed millions of votes.

if california voted overwhelmingly for kerry, it would be easy to skim off a million votes, still leaving kerry the winner.

in texas, where everyone who breathed was expected to vote for bush, it would be easy to pad the bush vote with another million.

florida voted overwhelmingly for kerry, through a combination of machine tampering AND skimming from counties that did not have the machines.

ohio was the same thing.

Fear factor worked. People actually believe Iraq had something to do with 9/11.

Which leads into the Stupidity Factor. People were stupid enough to believe the Georgie Porgie was the only one who would keep them safe.

If they really were paying attention they might have checked out what the folks in NYC wanted: That would have been KERRY presidency. My son stood in line for two hours to vote for Kerry in Manhattan. But the folks who live out in the middle of nowhere got scared and voted their fears. Doing their part to protect New York City, I guess.

Then there were the single issue voters - abortion. Never mind that abortions have increased under BushCo and he really hasn't done anything about them. Gay marriage probably got some folks out who might have otherwise stayed home. Damn, those gay people are scary!

In 2008, I say send the candidate through the redlands for great chunks of time -- like General Sherman.

Let the independent groups take care of the Blue States and let party money fight in the swing states. The candidate must attack.
