How many African American Governors have there been..if any..I can not think of one but I maybe wrong.

Pinckney Pinchback in Louisiana (1872-73) and Douglas Wilder in Virginia (1990-94). Wilder was the only elected governor.
The Virgin Islands currently has an African American governor, too.
