My mom just called me regarding Dean's speech

She says he scared the hell out of her. I don't think that speech is any way to court women or senior voters.

His voice was too intense, strained. He didn't sound good.

2. NPR said Dean did poorly with older voters in Iowa.
He didn't do so well with young voters either.

3. I don't thnk it's bashing to say that
it did not go well. It was a pretty startling contrast to the uplifting and inspiring speeches by both Kerry and Edwards.

trying hard to stay positive, but it was way over the top.

I though Gephardt's speech was great - very classy and heartfelt.
