More Republicans speaking out

against Bush. Yesterday I was on my way to my grandparents for my cousin's wedding today and in the car my Dad wanted to listen to talk radio so that was on and there was my congressman republican Zach Wamp speaking out against the new bill they passed. He basically was saying that the bill was way too rushed and was more for political gain then anything. And this other guy came on after (not sure who he was) and said we all have the right to our privacy. So it seems one by one people are getting annoyed with BushCo.

Some are getting annoyed with him for reasons I don't agree with, but I really don't care why, as long as they all turn against him!

Bush isn't a man who tolerates dissent, especially from Republicans.

He ignores us and shuts us out, but Republican 'turncoats' are likely to get quickly punished.

It's now or never -- or actually, 6 weeks ago or never -- if they wanted to speak up and have it matter.

Pardon my cynicism, but I will believe that intraparty opposition to Bush exists when he is either A) overriden or B) loses on a major spending and/or tax bill.

Until that time, I am operating on the assumption that this is all political kabuki designed to keep us busy and saying "Ooh! Look! Dissension in the ranks! Ooh!"

6. I've noticed a lot of (bashing) recently

Not particularly against Bush as much as against Rumsfeld. But they are joined at the ass. And I've also heard some unkind things about the administration in general.

10. The Moderate Republican people and politicians are catching on

to the fact that their party has been hijacked. Moderate politicians were stunned to find out that they're being shut out of discussions and just expected to follow suite. Kind of like what we found out about the DLC. I feel sorry for decent Republicans because it's a painful realization.

got a bushie buddy who now has buyer's regret. He voted for bush on economic/small government (not faith based) grounds. He now realizes that he is the unwelcome part of the coalition.

I told the dumbass not to vote for bush, but he didnt listen; bad showing for a polisci major :-(
