Is Bush hooked up to the wire again ??

Judging from his pauses in yesterday's press conference, it appeared to this untrained eye that he was listening for the response. Did anyone see a backpack? Do these responses sound like something Bush would say?

And it almost sounded like he was arguing with someone, even though he was the only one talking. Of course, he could go mincing down Pennsylvania Avenue in a black tutu pawing at imaginary butterflies, and the media would be totally unconcerned.

5. Actually he was reading from

a teleprompter in the base of the podium - you could see it when they did some side shots of him

which then begs the question ----- the answers to the "questions" were already known and put into his little answer box
