HAMILATHANIA PRIMARY SCHOOL HOLDS RIBBON-CUTTING CEREMONYMANDALI, Iraq -- Civic leaders, leaders from the Iraqi National Guard and Multi-National Forces from Task Force 150 attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of improvements to the Hamilathania Primary School near Mandali.
The attendees handed out school supplies to children. The small boxes were filled with pencils, crayons and a variety of supplies that are needed for the students to be successful. The supplies were donated from people in the United States.
The 30th Brigade Combat Team, the Multi-National Forces unit responsible for Mandali, has spent more than $870,000 on projects in eastern Diyala and the Tuz area, and there are plans to spend almost $2 million more on future educational projects.
