7. Randi is not REALLY black |
|
She decided to change her race because she was so impressed with Barrack Obama and Rev. Al Sharpton at the Dem convention, and because she has always been a fan of the congressional black caucus.

9. That's what I thought but then realized it must be an in-joke |
|
She always kind of laughs when she says it.
BTW, that's a wonderful photo of Kerry-- so elegant and relaxed. "sigh" :(

8. Sometimes I don't feel the Randi Love on DU... |
|
So I like to find Go Randi threads! I know she's caustic, and sometimes needlessly rude to callers, but dammit her show is the most entertaining by far on AAR.
It just isn't Friday unless I tune in in time to hear her show opener...

10. She definitely can be caustic (good word) |
|
and sometimes when she gets callers who really heap on the praise, her attitude can be, "yeh, whatever." (which I never understood)
But I think she's great-- a good talk show host. Very knowledgeable.

11. This is one thing I like about her. |

Until my birthday (earlier this week), all I could really get was NPR driving to and from work, but rushbillseanetc for the rest of the day. And one thing all of the con(artist) hosts would do is puff up their egos for every good call. Randi does not do that. That is one thing I really like about her

16. Yeah, at first I found her 'caustic' too. But the more I listened, found |
|
her SOOOO well-researched on the topics she discusses...so fact-based, and constantly brings in topics the mainstream hasn't ever heard of or talked about yet. I learn a lot from her show.
I think of it as 'tough love'...like Mike Malloy. Sometimes it gets a little shrill, and I have to turn it off for a few minutes...but generally well worth it.

She's from Brooklyn, of course her persona is tough on the outside, heart of gold on the inside. Randi rules. Brooklyn rocks. Where are these 'Go Randi' threads you speak of. I need a break from 2004 Results forum.

13. I was in the Air Force in '79 and I never heard of such a thing |

I remember they used to feature this sexist piece of trash in the AF newspaper "THE FAIR FORCE" - it was usually some overly made up 'ho in a uniform. They wanted to feature me and told them to f*** off.
