About Jan. 6th...

Is it ok for me to feel that its going to be a repeat of the 2000 election...with NO senator standing up against the electoral count in the joint session on the 6th? Because I really don't think any senator is going to, heck I don't think Kerry will even, It's not that I dislike or don't believe in the Democratic Party. Its just since the election, I've been very down in the dumps, and I feel somewhat indifferent towards the whole political procress, and I see alot of posts about how they feel that certain senators will stand up and so forth. Is there anyone else that feel the same way I do??

5. I don't know about the other posters, but I do know several other

lifelong libs and dems that agree with you. It is indeed a possibility that our Senators will continue to be cowardly, but THIS time they do realize people are watching them AND taking down names! If they want to keep thier jobs they just might not back down this time. Besides that, there is apparently quite a bit of evidence that SOMETHING went wrong on Nov. 2. Even if they decide NOT to contest the electoral votes, they may find themselves caught up in a whirlwind of criminal and/or civil lawsuits. You know, from what I have read, American citizens can file civil suits regarding this election. The other realization that they must be having by now is that the internet is not going away any time soon and word has spread like wildfire over the internet this time. To a lot of people it no longer matters whether the MSM reports the information or not, they will continue to fight the good fight and try to reform the election process and they WILL accomplish it. There is no way for the senators to sit this one out IMO, without doing damage to thier careers!

7. I I Think this will be the last chance the Democrats will ever be able

to do anything. They are talking about the whole party becoming repub-lite. If these people don't show a backbone here, people will be so fed up with the Democratic party they won't bother to vote. Or they will get rid of every single one. The Dems have done too little for way too long.

I have posted to that effect and been flamed for lack of faith. But I just don't see an Senator wanting to do what would, at best, be a symbolic act that would aggrivate the rest of them.

I will be amazed if even on Senator does anything except rubber stamp the election.

For that matter, I also believe that Bush really did win it. There were some election high-jinks on both sides, but not enough to make a difference. Yes, our side did some stuff too. Remember the guy that filled out dozens of registration cards? And the Republicans were complaining that after Moveon.org's people worked a city, some of the places had more registrations than they have population. That's why the Republicans were so strong on challenging voters - they were afraid of multiple voting by Democrats.
