I can actually skip the election altogether were it not for the fact that I want our Governor Kernan to beat back the Mitch Daniels challenge, and I want Julia Carson reelected.

But I can vote third party for Prez if the Dems nominate a prowar candidate without losing any sleep over it.

And yeah, it's something of a silver lining to know that we can almost bet on being able to vote for whomever we like, without worrying about affecting the outcome.

I am from TX too and probably would have gone Nader in 2000 if I had been old enough to vote. It is just voting for third party in a swing state that is entirely incomprehensible to me.

5. WI was very very close last time

...so it's considered a swing state. I read just recently that, combined with Minnesota and Iowa, also among the six or seven closest states in '00, our total electoral votes are the same as Florida's. Both sides consider our states must-wins.

I seriously question the wisdom of voting 3rd party in a swing state, especially for a "vanity" candidacy, for the obvious reason, but go ahead. Vote for whomever you want.

When a third party gets to the point where they are actually serious about running the government, then I'll vote for them.

I have my favorites, but will vote for any of the Dems. in the GE. This is not the election for moral indignation. We NEED this election.

...in North Dakota, so Bush isn't my fault - really! But I bought into the whole defacto one party they're all the same argument. Then Bush got selected, and guess what? They really AREN'T all the same.

We were damn close last time, and I think that we have a good chance of a Dem candidate taking the state this year.

Note to no one in particular: Any Ohio DUers that tell me "If ________ doesn't win the primary, I'm voting Green (or whatever)" will be hunted down and given an atomic wedgie of epic proportions. This is no time to wallow in your own hurt feelings.
