Guys -
What did you expect? Did you expect every House democrat to stand up, oppose the election and end up being politically marginalized if they are in a seat which could be won by a republican?
What did you expect? Did you expect every Senate democrat to stand up, oppose the election, and be perceived as the party of political motivation?
John Kerry did not win the election. Whether it was a function of a different voting pattern or election fraud is totally immaterial. There will be no overturn of the election. There will be no criminal charges of fraud.
Its over.
Its also nothing new. The democratic party is weak now, because the dominant discourse is on security and war - issues which the democrats are perceived as weak on. Why? Because we have a tendency to feel that the American public is intelligent and concerned about policy. We aint.
We watch Dr. Phil, like idiots. We watch American Idol, like idiots. We're idiots.
Look guys - we're at now, what the GOP was in the 1960s. The political pendulum shifts. Chill.
And how can you support Boxer!?!? She campaigned as a moderate and is SUCH a DINO. Lord! Why can't she be as liberal as Feingold, who, in his wisdom, voted to cerify the election.
The election of 2004 was a failure of the democrats, not because of the candidate. Kerry was one of the strongest liberal candidates ever. It was a failure of the media. Plain and simple.
