Rove as a 9 yr. old, got beat up by Dem girl

Just heard this story on NPR's "Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me."

As a nine year old Rove had a Nixon sticker affixed to the basket on his bike. A Democratic girl of an undisclosed age who supported Kennedy, beat the crap out of him.

They had a child psychologist explaining how this early life trauma left a deep lasting impression on Rove and continues to influence his behavior to this day.

The psychologist gauged the impact of this event on Rove's personality as quite profound based on reports of the vividness and frequency of Rove's retelling of the story.

Further proof that violence serves no purpose and often makes a bad situation even worse. I wonder if the girl is still around and if she is aware of the absolute mean spirited Machiavellian monster he's become. . .

Unless Fitzgerald really is a tenacious as he's reported to be, and there are implications involving Rove in the Plame affair, I don't see how any of these criminals will go down.

Under Gonzales the DOJ will do nothing but protect them and go after dissenters.

all sorts of smears against others so I guess, having no regard for the truth, he might go so far as to fabricate a story like this just to try to rationalize his bad behavior. Who the heck knows with this one? Seemed plausible when I heard it though and the psychologist was thoroughly convinced. They said his web site was "ask a child psychologist" I googled it to verify but got no direct hits.

But I do remember hearing that he was born in December of either '50 or '51 (have it written down somewhere) so the age and that election would have lined up anyways.

up as a child. He said he made it up, as he just looked like someonewho had been picked on by bullies as a kid. He then found out thru a friend of a friend that it was true... Rove was one of those kids who was always being picked on by the kids around him...

I bet though when Rove got to be say 16-17 and filled out a little, he was more than a match for them. At least the younger ones, say 12-13 or so. Looking at him though, I'd say Rove wasn't a very social person when young.

I wouldn't hold it against Rove for getting beat-up by a girl when he was 9. Actually, I think most guys have stories of being ravished by girls during their youth. Certainly by age age 21 or so practically any man can say with certainty they had been ravished by a woman. Or they should have had the chance anyway.

My mama had taught all the ways to fight (boys & girls) by that age, none of them included the above! Matter of fact, we were told that if she ever found out we had run from a fight or 'fought like a girl' she'd whup us when we got home. Worked too, a mama-whupping was FAR more to be feared than any playground scuffle! Also served as adults to keep all 3 of us (girls) from putting up with spouses that liked to throw their weight around.

I am a small female that can throw a hook, or a kick that could break a man's jaw, easily. My older brother taught me to throw the hell down so I could defend myself against lecherous men. I have had to use these techniques on more than one occasion, (usually not on dates, thank god, but once with a mugger, and once with an armed assailant whom I stumbled upon breaking into my car when I was a teenager.) Any woman who has had to fend off a would be assailant/overzealous pervert (which is most of us) knows damn well how to take one down, with a few well placed, well delivered jabs.

i'm willing to believe that something actually happened when he was 9, but i'll bet here's a more likely version:

he hated that kennedy-loving girl, and wanted to do her in. maybe she teased him, bested him on a test, laughed at him, whatever. he wanted to hurt her somehow.

so, at the tender age of 9, he INVENTED the lie that she beat him up over the nixon sticker. maybe in truth, he fell off his bike, got a friend to punch him, or got punched by the people who would, years later, become nicole brown simpson's real killers. in any event, he did whatever needed to be done to make the story stick.

and it worked, she got in trouble, suspended, transferred, whatever. maybe he wanted her out of the running so someone else could be lead in the school play.

now THAT sounds like a truly formative experience for rove. his first disinformation campaign, his first political hit.

This is supposedly written by an anonymous mole in the white house and put out very late at night every mon. and fri. I don't know if what this guy says is true--that Rove is a cross-dresser among other perverted things--but I choose to believe it because it gives me such pleasure.
