Democrats Should Run Anti-Bush Ads NOW!

Let's not just wait for a campaign. We need to start aggressively courting the public against Bush AND the Republican congressional leadership RIGHT NOW. Time and time again it has been shown that the way to change people's minds is to bang them over the head with the same kind of information over and over again.

Let's work now to erode Bush and the Republican's image as "men of the people" by vigorously launching a massive ad campaign against the inauguration costs and expenses, particularly in "heartland" areas.

8. When we got that email

from the DNC after the election that was one thing I suggested to them. They won't do it but they should know what we expect. Ads would serve the purpose of reporting stories that don't make the news too. And why can't they do infomercials? Buy a block of time on late night cable and make it into a news report of all the stories that don't make it to cable or just the message of the month about jobs or social security. Moveon would be a good place to start.

It would take very little money to run a series of infomericals at late hours, and the impact would be far greater than just the original audience.

We need to go after Frist, Pataki, Guiliani, McCain, and apparently Gingrich. If we start now, we can get the word out early.

Forget Bush, he can't ever be president again. Targeting him with attack ads would be a waste of money.

23. In California, there are now effective anti-Arnold ads.

I can't remember who is sponsoring them, but I've seen them frequently over the last week, and they seem effective. It shows how Arnold broke his campaign promises.
