For ME Howard Dean is my political leader. I'm a Dean Democrat. He changed my politics and for the better. He can change the Democratic Party for the better if they'd but let him; they may not. He said on Friday (when I saw him in Atlanta) that people outside D.C. were receptive to his candidacy, but not those inside the beltway because they don't want to change.

Funny that I see people like Begala and others step right up to the plate even now (I saw this again just the other day!) and credit Howard Dean with "giving the Democratic Party its spine back," and yet they are terrified of the idea of having him at the helm. Ridiculous defeatists afraid of success.

Dean is the head of the party as far as I am concerned. Unfortunately, I don't think the average American thinks there is a leader, as my other post says.

10. As far as the 'average' dem is concerned

10% would KNOW TM's name. He is not involved with much outside of MAJOR donor fundraising. We don't have a VOICE that represents this party....and OMG, we need one.
