After watching the DNC chair conference, I like Donnie Fowler

I can't stomach Mr. "I like money" Fowler. He hasn't enough experience, either political or personal. I live in MI, and I was NOT impressed with the way the campaign was run here. There were a LOT of rolling eyeballs over constantly changing directives and just plain wrong headed thinking. If it had not been for the push that MoveOn implemented in the final weeks of the election, we might have been a red state this year.

37. Webb, Frost, Dean, Rosenberg - I liked them all - but Dean best.

I was not a Dean fan in the 2000 election. In this group, Dean was most charismatic, but any of the above four were good spokesmen (Dean, Webb, Frost and Rosenberg). I like that Dean's answers are very action oriented (get something done) responses, and quite direct.

Fowler was the least impressive as a spokesman, though he seems to have good ideas for behind the scenes.

Roehmer was a big big dissappointment - because I was ready to give him a pass on choice (even though it's a big issue for me) if he overall said the right things - but he didn't. Very plastic (Webb was a bit plastic too) and Roehmer's answer was really wrong answer on choice and women's issues. I could see this guy raising a lot of dough off of fat cats, though.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but none of them hold a candle to McAuliffe in terms of quick, intelligent, resposes or stage presence, or ability to articulately and succinctly state core Democratic values. I know this is not the best selection criteria (communications), but there it is.

Not enough money for states, not enough local organizing, ignoring half the country, etc.

people love to pile up one him in DU because under his term the Democrats have been tanking but there are a lot of other problems and hurdles our party faced which caused this slump.

While I was not enthusiastic about a Dean presidency, largely based on his polarizing nature...I DO think he is an excellent spokesperson in many regards and view him as being the BIG PICTURE guy who EXPANDS the party rather than narrows its view to splitting the difference with the opposition on the middle who will NEVER be a reliable vote for us.

I know the campaign heads are ultimately responsible for what was done in each state - at least they get the glory and the blame - but most of the problem can be laid on the national Kerry people, in my opinion. I am very disappointed and angry with them.

From what I've read, we experienced pretty much the same lack of commitment from the Kerry people. I'm just glad the race was "somewhat" close here in Maine; otherwise we'd have received even less attention than we did.

My one concern with Howard Dean has been nullified since he has already said that he will not run for President in 2008 should he get this position.

I still toy with the COO idea. Someone to be the national spokesperson and someone to run the day-to-day operations.
